For Starters

My name is Sophie, I'm 25 and I have been creating some form of art now for 7 years. Originally it just started when I was was 17 on the floor of the first place I moved into leaving the home I originally grew up in. Working on a ranch at that time I decided I wanted to paint a cow, but not just any cow... a Charolais. All I knew was most charolais were wild and usually led the string with their nose in the air trying to go anyway, but your way. Another love I had for them was, if you put a Red bull on a Charolais you would get these blonde, orangey babies and those were my favorite.

Not that the Charolais cow painting was very good but it was encouraging enough to keep trying at it. Which really I have been doing for years, just simply trying at it. Trying new things, new styles, exploring new versions of myself one piece of art at a time. Which it is a hard job to be your own boss when you are also your hardest critic, no one likes working for an asshole. Learning to just let things be how they are. Not everything has to be the greatest next thing, not everybody has to understand what you're creating. If you're creating in hopes someone else cares for it the same way you do you wont ever be satisfied.

After 7 inconsistent years with art, granted I have been more consistent as the years go on, I finally can be at the peace of understanding not everyone is going to get it. Not everyone is meant to get it, special things are not special because everyone gets it on the same level. They are special simply because they are able to be understood on different levels and meet you and the next person where they are. Special things arent meant for everybody the same way, and I want to create special things.

Inconsistency in the past 7 years with my art has simply came from, wanting it to mean to everyone what it means to me. Which had me missing the point entirely, but hey that's growth. Writing is one of my othe art forms, and some of my art has writings that go with them. I figured i'd share my writings here. No set dates or times, just as time goes on and words spill out, I will put them up for anyone that finds there way here to enjoy. As with my art, enjoy how you see fit.
